Privacy Policy

The short version

Reading a guide on SaralPooja does not require an account and does not create one. We do not ask for your name, your email, your date of birth or your gotra. We count page views so we know whether the guides are being read, but nothing we collect while you read can identify you.

The one exception is buying a paid guide. That needs an account, because access has to be attached to someone — see below. Everything that is free to read stays anonymous.

What stays in your browser

Two things are stored on your own device, in your browser’s local storage, and are never sent to us: which samagri items you have ticked off, and which of the three languages you last chose. Clearing your browser data removes both. They are a convenience for you, not a record for us.

Signing in, and only then

You are asked to sign in with Google at exactly one moment: when you buy a paid guide. Nothing else on the site asks, and browsing never does. From Google we receive your email address and a user id, and that is what we keep — not your Google password, and no access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar or files.

Against that account we store what you have bought and until when, so that the guide opens for you on your next visit or on another device. That record is the reason the account exists.

Payments

Whether you are buying a guide or giving dakshina, the payment itself is handled entirely by Razorpay on their own pages. Whatever you enter there — card details, UPI ID, contact information — goes to Razorpay, not to us. We never see or store your card or UPI details. What we keep is the fact of the order: which guide, how much, when, and whether it succeeded. Razorpay’s handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.

How we count visitors

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people open the guides and which pages they reach. It records the page visited, the referring site, and a coarse country and device type.

It sets no cookies, and it does not build a profile of you, follow you between websites, or record anything that identifies you personally. We cannot tell who visited — only how many did. Because nothing personal is collected, no consent banner is needed and there is nothing here to opt out of.

Hosting and logs

The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for operational and security purposes. All photographs and illustrations are our own and are served from our own hosting; fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Bhrugu Astrology, and your one account

SaralPooja is a product of Bhrugu Astrology and shares its sign-in. Creating an account here creates the same account on Bhrugu Astrology, and an account made there works here — there is one record of you across both, held by the same business, not two. What Bhrugu Astrology stores about you and for how long is governed by its own privacy policy as well as this one.

What SaralPooja itself keeps is unchanged by that: your email address, which guides you have unlocked and when that access ends. We do not share it with anyone outside the business, and we do not sell it.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay on behalf of Bhrugu Astrology. Card numbers, UPI IDs and bank details are entered on Razorpay’s own checkout and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on this site. We keep only the payment reference Razorpay returns, your email address, and what it bought — which is what lets us confirm a purchase and issue a refund.

Links out

Links to Bhrugu Astrology and to the app stores leave this site. What those sites collect is covered by their own policies, not this one.

Your rights

If you have never bought anything, we hold no account and no profile for you, and there is generally nothing for us to export or delete.

If you have an account, write to us from that email address and we will send you what we hold against it, or delete it. Deleting it ends any access still running, and that cannot be undone. We may have to keep a minimal record of a payment for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and Razorpay keeps its own records either way — but we will do everything the law and our payment provider permit.
